Aaliyah Bilal Joins the Conversation

On May 28, 7pm, Aaliyah Bilal will join One Book One Bronx's conversation on her award-winning book Temple Folk. To register, visit www.obob.info or follow the link in our bio. The conversation is preceded by a five-week, multi-location discussion. Join us in person or on Zoom.

In Temple Folk by Aaliyah Bilal, Black Muslims contemplate the convictions of their race, religion, economics, politics, and sexuality in America. The ten stories in this collection contribute to the bounty of diverse narratives about Black life by intimately portraying the experiences of a community that resists the mainstream culture.
