Set in 1940s Port-au-Prince, Village Weavers follows Gertie and Sisi, childhood friends from vastly different backgrounds. Their bond is shattered by a family secret, and as Duvalier’s reign grows violent, Sisi flees to Paris while Gertie marries into Dominican wealth. Spanning decades and continents, their lives intertwine in unexpected ways as the truth of their connection slowly unfolds.
